As part of the letter of instruction, it is generally helpful to indicate the following:

• The background to the case.
• Any specific issues to be addressed.
• Whether a remote or face-to-face appointment is required.
• The approximate size of any medical records and other documents. This will enable me to provide an accurate quote.
• The urgency of any reports.
